CogniCards is a flashcard application that helps you learn and remember information efficiently. It uses spaced repetition—a scientifically-proven learning technique—to schedule card reviews at optimal intervals based on how well you know each card.

The app organizes your learning materials into a simple hierarchy: cards live in decks, which in turn can be grouped into folders. You can create flashcards with text, images, or audio, and rate your recall during reviews as Very Hard, Hard, Easy, or Very Easy. The system then calculates when you should see each card again, helping you focus on what needs attention while avoiding unnecessary reviews of well-known material.

The app uses the Free Spaced Repetition Scheduler (FSRS) algorithm, similar to Anki, ensuring reviews are scheduled based on scientific principles of memory and learning. While studying, you'll see exactly when each card will appear next based on your chosen difficulty rating.

CogniCards keeps your review history private even when sharing decks with friends, allowing collaborative deck creation while maintaining personal learning progress. Access your cards anywhere through the web interface or mobile app, making it convenient to study whenever you have time.
