The beta version of MemenTour already offers thematic tours spread over four Parisian cemeteries: Montmartre cemetery, Montparnasse cemetery, Passy cemetery and Père-Lachaise cemetery, and indicates the locations of the different personalities buried there.

Each route is built around a theme, the common thread of your visit to the cemetery. For example, discover “Writers and Poets at the Montmartre Cemetery”, “The most beautiful tombs in the Montparnasse cemetery” or even “A tour of the women buried at Père-Lachaise”.

Discover the biographies of those buried and the funerary art of the Crusader tombs. No longer limit yourself to the tombs of the most famous personalities. Always keep privileged access to more History in your pocket and become knowledgeable about our heritage.

All the information contained in the application is concise, useful, fun and easy to understand for young and old. With MemenTour, cemeteries become real places for walks and discoveries. Enough to reclaim these large spaces that make up our cities and transform them into real open-air museums.

Mementour is an application designed to reveal and transmit the history and heritage of our cemeteries. We want to change the way we look at cemeteries and offer people a new way of appreciating these often neglected public spaces.

MemenTour is a French company created by true taphophiles — individuals passionate about cemeteries and their history

We have two main objectives:

1. Social: providing opportunities to walk through cemeteries and allow reflections on life and death. These reflections can help with issues related to grief and fear of death — thanatophobia.

2. Territorial: revalorize French cemeteries as heritage in cities and participate in their preservation.
