DEFKON ADS-B SDR Bridge

Turn a compatible USB SDR receiver into a local ADS-B traffic source on Android.

DEFKON ADS-B SDR Bridge receives 1090 MHz aircraft broadcasts directly from a supported RTL-SDR dongle connected through USB OTG. It decodes nearby Mode S and ADS-B transmissions on the device and makes the resulting aircraft data available to compatible apps through local loopback connections.

REQUIREMENTS

• Android device with USB host/OTG support
• Compatible RTL-SDR receiver
• Suitable 1090 MHz antenna
• USB OTG cable or adapter
• Compatible app that reads the local Bridge output

Reception range and data quality depend on the antenna, receiver, installation, local terrain and nearby aircraft. Not all aircraft broadcast ADS-B position data.
