This is a handy diary for recording blood pressure readings and analysis

Overview

Features & Capabilities

Cardio Journal is a user-friendly Chrome extension designed for individuals focused on monitoring their cardiovascular health. This handy blood pressure diary allows you to effortlessly save and analyze your BP readings, keeping your health data organized and accessible.

Key features include saving and displaying blood pressure readings, reminders for measurement, dynamic graph visualization, data export to Excel spreadsheets, and insightful data analysis. The extension boasts a colorful and intuitive interface, ensuring ease of use for all users.

Notably, Cardio Journal is freeware without advertisements, emphasizing user health over profit. While it facilitates effective tracking, it does not measure blood pressure directly and is not a replacement for professional medical advice. Regular consultations with a cardiologist are encouraged alongside use of this tool.

User Reviews

Users praise Cardio Journal for its simplicity and ease of use, especially for seniors, and its clear reporting (lists and graphs) that doctors can quickly review. The app is valued for long-term BP tracking and helpful exports (Excel) that support medical care. However, recurring problems undermine reliability: several reviews report data loss after updates and, in some cases, after installation on new devices; the app can freeze or spin on launch; Android version compatibility (notably Android 14) can block entry of records; login/password issues and missing CSV import are additional recurring complaints. Overall, highly useful but reliability concerns persist.
Pros
  • Very easy to use and intuitive UI, beginner- and senior-friendly.
  • Clear, readable reports with lists and graphs suitable for sharing with doctors; supports Excel export.
  • Reliable long-term BP tracking and history over years.
  • Clean UI with no intrusive ads.
Cons
  • Data loss after updates or updates removing previous records.
  • App can freeze or spin/hang, preventing use.
  • Android version compatibility issues (notably Android 14) that block entry of records.
  • Login/password issues and reset links not being received.

awesome app but import to a new device isn't working. I have been using the app for 5+ years and it is great to have such statistics on your health. Giving only 4 stars because export and import to a new device seems to be available, but is not working. Moreover, i cannot even get to UI - it keeps spinning the load wheel.

My email and password data leaked from their app and now they won't allow me to login to my account as that email apparently is used on another account.
