I chose this app over the manufacturer "Mi Fit" app, because this app promised local-only data, no cloud storage, and no third-party sharing. Now Android System notified me, that the dev made changes indicating location data is now used for advertising. That is unacceptable and contradicts the app’s core privacy promise. I don’t expect devs to run a free service. I paid for a Pro licence. This is not what I paid for and not what is stated in the privacy policy. Roll this back immediately.
