Greetings. I am In Gong, Representative of Maehwa Nuri.

I entered the monastic life at a young age, formed a deep bond with the Buddha, and have lived my entire life as a practitioner. Throughout this long journey of practice, there is a single truth that has taken root deep within my heart:

"My religion is kindness, my philosophy is respect, and my Dharma hall is my own heart."

Following this teaching, I have always contemplated the silent practice of offering warm kindness without turning a blind eye to the suffering of the world.

I found the answer to the koan, "How can I share this immense grace received from the Buddha with the world?" in our children, who have lost even the opportunity to learn amidst a cold reality.

Warmly embracing these children and opening the path to learning is more than mere relief work; it is the most sacred Buddhist deed performed within the Dharma hall of my heart.

Just as I found peace in the embrace of the Buddha, Maehwa Nuri now aspires to become a warm embrace for the most marginalized children in the world.

Just as plum blossoms endure the cold to bloom and fill the whole world with fragrance, I pray that you will walk together with Maehwa Nuri on its sincere journey until the day our children brightly illuminate their own paths in life and blossom into talented individuals beneficial to the world.
