The Overkill Solar Chrome extension provides seamless Bluetooth connectivity to Overkill Solar Battery Management Systems (BMS). Users gain real-time insights into cell voltages, total battery capacity, charging and discharging currents, and temperature monitoring. It empowers you to control the charging and discharging ports by switching them on or off directly from the app.

Advanced features include the ability to change the Bluetooth advertising name, unlock hardware-protected BMS units, save and load BMS configurations, and calibrate cell voltage and current parameters. The extension also supports logging of maximum and minimum voltage, current, and power readings, as well as enabling and configuring the balancer and adjusting capacity settings. Additionally, users can monitor BMS alarms to ensure optimal battery performance and safety.

App was experiencing the whole "not finding the BMS" issue while scanning. Didn't take long to realize it was because the BMS bluetooth can only connect to one device and/or app at a time. When I disconnected the BMS from another app that was using it, suddenly the Overkill app could easily find my batteries. If you're having the issue where this app isn't scanning your BMS, make sure no apps, widgets, displays, or devices are already accessing the BMS data. If so, disconnect & retry.
