Manu Road

From Paucartambo to Boca Manu, there is a distance of 160 kilometers, that region is traversed by the road known as the Manu Highway “Manu Road”, which goes from 3560 meters above sea level (Abra Acjanaco) to 280 meters (Boca Manu), covering 19 types of vegetation from the Andean Pajonal to the Amazon Jungle passing through the Mountain Forest.

The above makes this region one of the most biodiverse in the world, and according to many bird watchers, it is the route along the same road, where the most birds can be observed in the world, 1130 species.
