Not working on me :( unlike the old version if im not mistaken.

There's a problem in which the first time I place my phone in the pocket the screen completely goes black including the status bar (which is perfect for accidental touches) but if I take the phone out and then place it back in the pocket (or cover the proximity sensor) the status bar appears and can be touched or interacted with. Is there a way of having the status bar not appearing every single time it's placed in the pocket? Thank you!
