Mine Risk Education

Mine Risk Education is an interactive educational Chrome extension designed to teach individuals living in danger zones about the risks posed by landmines and unexploded ordnance (UXO). The game offers a unique learning experience through inspirational content and skill-building aimed at young audiences, covering crucial topics such as characteristics of mines, risky behaviors, accident prevention, consequences, and warning signs of mine areas.

Developed in partnership with safety specialists and Catholic Relief Services (CRS), this game includes six lessons featuring engaging lectures and exams. It enables users to experience the dangers virtually while learning practical prevention strategies in a safe environment. CRS has a rich background in mine risk education, having trained hundreds of thousands of children, teachers, and community members in highly contaminated regions, with a focus on inclusive education and injury prevention.
