NefroConsultor is a specialized medical application designed to help primary care physicians and other healthcare specialists effectively manage patients with chronic kidney disease (CKD). Developed by nephrology experts, this app utilizes only four patient parameters—age, sex, serum creatinine, and albuminuria—to provide rapid risk assessments based on the KDIGO 2012 guidelines and other consensus documents.

The app estimates kidney function using CKD-EPI and MDRD-IDMS formulas, classifies CKD stages, calculates relative risks for key outcomes like mortality and renal failure, and advises on whether referral to a nephrologist is necessary. Additionally, it offers tailored clinical recommendations on monitoring, lifestyle measures, and management of comorbidities such as diabetes, hypertension, and anemia. NefroConsultor is free, requires no user registration, protects patient privacy, and supports both Android and iOS platforms, making it a practical digital tool to enhance CKD care at the primary level.
