Pleato

Pleato is a simple meal planning app designed for busy home cooks who want to organize weeknight dinners without overcomplicating the process. Plan meals as folded recipe cards clipped to a kitchen twine line, with each card representing a single meal for a specific weekday. The Line tab shows all planned meals grouped by day along the twine, so the week feels clear at a glance. Tapping any card opens the edit screen where meal details can be updated or removed. The Add tab puts a form first, letting you quickly enter the meal name, planned day, meal type, and number of servings. Saving a new meal adds a folded card to the line and keeps everything stored locally on the device. The Today tab focuses only on meals planned for the current weekday, with one large next-up card and a simple list of remaining meals. The Search tab provides a flat search field to filter saved cards by meal name or planned day, with matching results shown as folded cards in a tiled grid. The dashboard keeps the next planned meal visible near the left end of the line and shows two helpful counters for meals planned this week and dinners planned this week. Because all meal cards are stored locally, your weekly plan remains available without needing an account or internet connection. You can create, edit, delete, and search meal cards whenever your plans change. The visual design uses warm kitchen tile colors, a twine line, and wooden clothespins to make planning feel like a familiar part of your kitchen. Meal types appear as small colored dots on each card fold, and the planned day appears as a tiny stitched label on the clothespin. Empty states are calm and visual, with a bare twine line and empty clothespins that invite you to add the first meal. Pleato is useful for beginner meal preppers, families deciding simple daily meals, and anyone who wants a lightweight way to plan the week without extra clutter.
