- Protection Mode and Accessibility Service
LUDO uses the Android Accessibility Service (AccessibilityService API) exclusively for the "Protection Mode" feature. This functionality reads the name of the foreground app and the browser window title to compare them with a list of known betting apps and websites. When there is a match, LUDO displays a reflexive pause intervention to help the user resist the impulse. LUDO does not read, collect, store, or share passwords, messages, conversations, or any other screen content. The user activates Protection Mode voluntarily and can deactivate it at any time in the Android settings.

🛡️ Blocking betting sites
LUDO includes a local VPN service that automatically blocks access to betting sites on your mobile phone. The VPN works entirely on the device — no browsing data is collected, stored, or sent to external servers. Blocking is activated by the user within the app as a recovery support tool. It uses a local VPN (without an external server) to block gambling sites at the DNS level, protecting the user in any browser or app.
