It is an integrated monitoring device and service developed to integrate and manage the AED's status in order to ensure normal operation of the AED in case of an emergency by applying IoT technology to the AED. AED’s once-a-day self-diagnosis data is transmitted to Smart AED’s L.SEND (IoT terminal), and then the AED’s status is sent to the manager in real time, and events such as opening the door of the storage box, AED removal in the storage box, and SOS emergency occur Notifications are provided in the form of a visualized dashboard and at the same time, event notifications (mail or APP PUSH) are sent in real time, enabling immediate response in case of an emergency, improving the success rate of lifesaving.
- Necessity of Smart AED
1) Strengthening the AED management and operating system to keep the golden time (4 minutes) for cardiac arrest patients
2) Equipped with AED and locker and obliged to inspect once a month (Article 38-3 management of emergency equipment)
3) Establishment of AED real-time integrated management system that grafts AED with Internet of Things (IoT) technology
4) Smart AED guarantees normal operation of AED in case of an emergency and improves lifesaving success rate
5) Need to manage 7 core required functions (normal operation, battery normality, securing pad safety, maintaining operating temperature, responsiveness in case of emergency, management efficiency, interoperability, etc.)
