The gameplay in Chicken Tap Money focuses on careful observation and intuitive selection. Every round presents an image divided into three parts, with one fragment missing. Several possible pieces appear below, but only one fits the original artwork. You choose the fragment you believe completes the scene and confirm your choice. If the piece is correct, it appears in the image, the screen flashes green for a brief moment, and the next round begins automatically. During this short flash, interaction with the fragments is disabled to preserve clarity and prevent accidental taps.

When an incorrect option is selected, that piece temporarily appears in the scene, the screen flashes red for one second, and interaction is paused during this moment. Afterwards, the wrong fragment is removed, allowing you to try again without losing progress for that specific picture. Across ten rounds, each image offers a new small discovery, making the process feel like leafing through pages of a magical illustrated book.

Throughout the entire game, a timer tracks your total completion time for the full set of ten rounds. If you manage to complete the game and your result is greater than zero, the time is saved to the records screen. Results are only added when a game is fully finished—either by winning or losing. If the application is closed, minimized, interrupted, or exited from the pause or menu screens before reaching the end, the score is not saved. This ensures that every record reflects a complete and uninterrupted session.

Pausing the game happens automatically whenever the application is minimized or switched away from. A pause window appears, preventing all interaction with the puzzle until you close it upon returning. Additionally, during any dialog window, gameplay elements cannot be tapped, and multitap or overlapping windows are blocked to maintain stability and prevent mistakes.
