Elderly Safety Assistant

Client Safety Assistant helps caregivers stay connected with the people they support, using only the phones they already have.

The app has two simple roles: client and caregiver. A client can share their location, battery status and SOS alerts with trusted caregivers. A caregiver can
monitor one or more clients, switch between them, view their latest location, manage safe zones and coordinate care with notes, appointments and medication
entries.

Location sharing starts only after pairing is accepted. Clients and caregivers can remove a link at any time. Location, SOS-location and safe-zone data are end-
to-end encrypted between paired devices.

Client Safety Assistant is designed for care coordination and safety awareness. It does not replace emergency services, professional medical care or direct
supervision. In an emergency, contact local emergency services immediately.

Background Location Permission Declaration
Client devices use background location so linked caregivers can see the client’s last known position and receive SOS or safe-zone alerts even when the phone is
locked or the app is closed. Location sharing starts only after the client grants permission and accepts pairing with a caregiver. Caregiver devices do not use
background location for caregiver tracking.

is closed. Your location is shared only with caregivers you approve.

Data Safety Summary
Data collected: precise location, battery/status data, SOS alerts, profile name/photo, notes, appointments, medications, push notification token and technical
operational data.

Purpose: app functionality, care coordination, safety alerts, account pairing, security and troubleshooting.

Sharing: data is shared with actively paired clients/caregivers and service providers used to operate the app, including Supabase and Firebase Cloud Messaging.

Security: data is encrypted in transit. Location, SOS-location and safe-zone data are end-to-end encrypted between paired devices. Notes, appointments and
medications are protected by access controls but are not currently end-to-end encrypted.

Deletion: users can remove pairings in the app and request account/data deletion via info@nextact.is.
