Design automated combat robots in a factory. Program arms, assemble production lines, and fight using only unmanned machines in this Zaku-like tower defense game.
Botworks – A game where you don't fight with your own hands, but "design" the fighting machines themselves.
In a steampunk-inspired fictional world, you, as an engineer, build a factory and design a production line for automated combat robots. Once the match begins, you can no longer control anything. The machines you build autonomously process parts, manufacture units, and send them to the battlefield – this automated beauty is the core of Botworks gameplay.
■ Recommended for:
* Those who enjoy "Zack-like" automation puzzles similar to Opus Magnum and SpaceChem
* Those who are excited by interlocking mechanical devices such as arms and converters
* Those who enjoy pursuing efficiency and finding their own optimal solution
* Those looking for a strategic game that requires careful thought rather than real-time reflexes
■ Designing the Factory (Puzzle Part)
Place three types of parts on a hexagonal grid factory.
* Production Plant: An input port that generates materials such as fuel, armor, and catalysts at regular intervals.
* Converter: A fixed device that processes, joins, refines, duplicates, and disassembles materials.
* Arm: A multi-jointed robotic arm that you program.
The arm is assigned commands such as "grab," "release," "rotate right," "rotate left," "pivot," "extend," and "standby," and operates by looping the command list. Coordinate multiple arms and converters to transport materials, assemble, reinforce, and deliver completed modules to the deployment point—build a precisely meshing production line with your own ideas.
With editing functions such as placement, movement, rotation, duplication, and multiple selection, you can refine your factory little by little through trial and error. There isn't just one goal if you're just creating a "mobile factory." Smaller, faster, more efficient—how far you can refine your design is up to you.
■ Machines Fight (Battle Part)
The units sent out by your designed factory fight enemies in a single-lane arena. You only watch. The production line itself becomes the fighting force and determines victory or defeat.
* Walking Unit: The cheapest mass-produced type. Overwhelms with numbers.
* Shield Unit: High HP shield unit. Supports the front line.
* Assault Unit: Charges at the enemy core at high speed.
* Shooter Unit: Snipes from outside the enemy's range with high power.
* Shotgun Unit: Area attack to wipe out hordes at close range.
Each unit has a fire, water, lightning, earth, or wind attribute, and damage varies depending on the attribute. Reading the enemy's formation and deciding which units to send out, how many, and in what order—the factory design itself becomes the tactic.
■ Story Mode
You will progress through 8 chapters. Clearing each chapter unlocks new materials, converters, and arm commands, expanding your design options. Defeating the boss in each chapter grants you recipes for new units. Before deployment, allocate points to adjust attack power, speed, cost limit, and factory size to create strategies tailored to the enemies in each stage. The number of points you can use increases as you progress through the stages.
■ Leagues (Asynchronous PvP)
Your meticulously crafted factories can be registered in leagues to compete against other players. The production results of your opponent's factory are reproduced as a ghost, allowing you to compete asynchronously against them. You can compete on leaderboards specific to each arena. This is a battle purely based on "factory design skill," without being influenced by luck.
■ Features
- No manual intervention. A pure strategy and puzzle experience where you can focus on designing autonomous machines.
- Deterministic simulation provides the reassurance that the same design will always produce the same results.
- UI optimized for landscape smartphone use.
- A steampunk world where even just watching the arms transport materials is enjoyable.
Each part and each command, when combined, eventually forms a perfectly functioning machine. Design your own factory and seize victory with an unmanned army.
