Great at teaching how to use the language. Read through the learning tips, then get right into each new lesson. Wonderful customizability for reading - you can choose any combo of English characters, hiragana, and kanji. That is great for beginners to get right into it. Exercises vary enough to keep you engaged. Update June 2026: raised form 4 to 5 stars with the SRS system. This is by far the highest quality language app on the market
