Liner scans the audio on your phone (MP3, FLAC, M4A, WAV and more) and keeps a fast local library so tracks open instantly. Search by title, artist, or album. Sort by recent, title, artist, or length. Shuffle everything, or dig into recently added tracks and your own playlists.

PLAYBACK THAT STAYS OUT OF THE WAY
Background playback with media controls in the notification shade. A compact mini player for quick play, pause, skip, and seek. Open the full Now Playing screen when you want the big cover, transport, and lyrics. Built on modern Android media APIs with proper audio focus and headset handling.

LYRICS THAT FOLLOW THE SONG
Liner is built around reading lyrics while you listen. Synced lines scroll with the music so the active line stays front and center.
Lyrics can come from:
• Lyrics already embedded in the file
• Sidecar .lrc files next to your tracks
• A local cache from previous lookups
• Optional online search when nothing is found locally
Fetched lyrics are cached on your device. You can also save them into the file tags so they travel with your music.

COVER ART AND SONG TOOLS
Missing artwork can be resolved and cached. Edit a song’s cover or metadata when something is wrong. Find and remove duplicate copies. Rescan when you add new files. Optional equalizer and skip-silence for quieter listening.

PRIVATE BY DEFAULT
Liner does not require an account. It does not show ads. It does not track you for analytics. Internet access is only used when you choose features like online lyrics or cover lookup. Your library stays on your device.
