Books4lending, a proprietorship company , started operations on December 1st , 2020. It is the parent company of Bookworld 2.0 lending library , one of the largest brick and mortar lending library which is having its operations in Mogappair, Chennai , India from 2007.
We, as avid readers ourselves, identified the following roadblocks for pursuing Reading for Knowledge as well as Joy:
Limited number of libraries with very limited collection of books
Reading is an expensive hobby. Affording all the books one wants to read is a COSTLY AFFAIR
Social Media taking up all the free time of humans, which affects their physical and mental health.
People are becoming Obese, Myopic , distracted and less knowledgeable due to their addiction to TV and Mobiles
In these busy times, even voracious readers are not able to take time out to visit a neighbourhood library to tend to their reading habits.
The idea was to solve the above, if the reader could not come to a library/bookstore, what if we took the library to them. We started speaking with several readoholics outside several bookshops, interviewing them and understanding their requirements and chalking out the solutions plan.
The above gave birth to Books4lending, a Door delivery services for Books. To start with, we are opening our operations in Chennai city from Nov, 15th, 2021
We boast of a huge inventory of 32,000 plus books in English and Tamil languages. Our collection of books is well distributed among the major categories which are further divided into sub-categories for easy access of members.

Our Website Books4lending.com gives a detailed description of our Brick and Mortar library operations.
One can Sign-up as a member to our library services either by downloading Books4lending, an Android App from Playstore or by visiting our physical library and Filling-out an application form. In both the cases, a Unique Member ID XXXXXX is generated and provided to the new member.
Login credentials of Books4lending members are
Login ID - Unique Member ID XXXXXX
Default password is ‘1234’ for members joining in physical library. The members are requested to change the password after they successfully login
Password for members joining via App is the one they gave during sign-up process
Using the Books4lending App, the following operations can be done :
Membership Sign-up
Search for books as per your need and taste
Choose a Subscription Plan as per your family / Individual needs
Verify if your house location is available in the list of Delivery Locations
Pay using Payment Gateway
A one-time deposit of Rs.250/- is collected at the time of taking membership
Add books you would like to read to the Book Cart
Checkout the Books
Our delivery person(s) will be delivering the books to you within 1 – 3 days
There is no time limit on the book holding period. However, its always advisable to return the book as soon as you finish reading as another book lover is waiting for the same.
Place a Return request for the books you have read using our App. Our delivery person will collect it from you within 1-3 days .

Books4lending App has 3 Subscription Plans for 3 different durations:
Lite Readers:
-3 Books / Visit
-Unlimited Visits
-Rs. 475 /- for 3 months
-Rs. 850/- for 6 months
-Rs. 1600/- for 12 months
All in the Family:
-5 Books / Visit
-Unlimited Visits
-Rs. 750 /- for 3 months
-Rs. 1375/- for 6 months
-Rs. 2250/- for 12 months
Bundle of Joy:
-7 Books / Visit
-Unlimited Visits
-Rs. 950 /- for 3 months
-Rs. 1800/- for 6 months
-Rs. 2850/- for 12 months
