Game for 2 to 8 players, ages 10 and up, with family or friends.

This game is played offline.

Fake News Trackers is played on a single device, which you must impersonate when it's your turn to play.

Based on concrete situations on social media, players will try to guess what each participant feels, understands, and/or will do. You'll be surprised!

Example of a proposed situation: "It's announced that all social media will be shut down for 48 hours."

Workshop objectives: To spark collective discussion about our social media practices/ To compare and enrich our points of view. To discover each other in a different way.

THE GAME:

1/ In turn and at random, 1 situation is proposed/face-to-face.
- 6 Emotions: What would you feel in this situation?
- 6 Intentions: What are you doing or receiving this information for?
- 6 Actions: What would you do in this situation?

2/ 4 game stages
- The active player chooses from the 6 options (emotion, intention, or action). They secretly select their answer.
- The other players try to put themselves in the active player's shoes and guess their choice. They vote individually.
- The scores are displayed: 1 point for players who guess the active player's answer. The active player earns 1 point for each player who guesses their answer correctly.
- Exchanges and discussions between players.
It's the next time they become an active player.

Faced with a randomly selected situation, the active player will have to choose from three essential stances to better experience and share on social media.

FEEL: Using the EMOTION cards, identify the feelings we experience on social media. Become aware of them by naming them and then sharing them.

UNDERSTAND the author's intention (messages, photos, articles): Using the INTENTIONS cards, what is the author's ultimate goal? Realize that there is an author behind every written or visual message, who has their own approach and objectives.

ACT consciously Using the ACTION cards: What should we do? Think before commenting or sharing information. Become aware of our role on social media and that there is no neutral approach.

Over the course of the game, players will experiment with the key stances that correspond to how we approach any new knowledge: receiving information, searching for and evaluating information, producing information for myself or others, sharing, commenting, and relaying information.
