During an active trip, your location is shared with your matched driver or passenger so both of you can see the route in real time. A visible "Trip in Progress" notification is shown the whole time location is being used, and tracking stops automatically the moment the trip ends, is cancelled, or you go offline. LATE does not collect your location when the app is closed or when you are not on an active trip.
