Lagu SMS is a private, offline SMS app that automatically organises messages, tracks spending, reminds you about bills and makes OTPs easier to use.

Here is the difference: the release app does not request Android's INTERNET permission. All message sorting, transaction analysis and scam detection happen directly on your device. Your inbox is processed locally — not uploaded to Lagu or any cloud server.

Was a message placed in the wrong category? Move the sender to the correct category once, and Lagu remembers your choice. Your corrections are stored locally on your phone.

■ OTPs, THE WAY THEY SHOULD BE
Copy OTPs with one tap from the notification or OTP screen. Enable automatic cleanup to remove old OTP messages after 24 hours — no more scrolling through verification clutter.

■ PRIVATE SPENDING INSIGHTS
Your bank already sends SMS alerts for many transactions. Lagu turns supported transaction messages into a private, on-device money view: monthly spending and income, category breakdowns, top merchants, recurring payments, budgets and month-to-month comparisons. Export to CSV whenever you choose.

No bank login. No account linking. No financial SMS uploaded to a server. Transaction information is based on supported SMS messages and may not represent a complete bank statement.

■ NEVER MISS AN IMPORTANT UPDATE
Lagu detects supported dates, amounts and status information from transactional messages. It can help organise credit-card payment reminders, bill due dates, minimum and total amounts due, parcel delivery updates, and flight, train and bus information. Mark reminders as paid, snooze them or complete them directly from the app.

■ SCAM ARMOUR
Lagu flags potentially suspicious message patterns directly on your phone — fake prizes, urgent "account blocked" messages, OTP and PIN requests, suspicious links and common KYC-related fraud patterns. Block senders, create keyword blocks and review quarantined messages so legitimate messages are not permanently hidden. Warnings are advisory and may not identify every fraudulent message.
