I like the idea of a fighter getting stronger little by little without needing constant attention. The automatic battles make this seem like something you can check in on between other things, while collecting gear and unlocking new systems gives you a reason to keep going. I’d probably spend more time deciding which upgrades are worth it than watching every fight. It looks suited to players who enjoy steady progress without having to play actively all the time.
