WWeather is a simple weather app that allows you to quickly check atmospheric pressure, precipitation, temperature, wind direction, wind speed, humidity, and current weather information for a selected area on a single screen, based on data from the Korea Meteorological Administration's AWS (Weather Observation Service).

If you allow location permissions, the app can automatically select a KMA station near your current location. Even if you do not allow location permissions, you can use the region selection feature to manually choose a desired station, such as Seoul, Jeju, or Dokdo.

## Key Features

### 1. Automatic Station Selection Based on Current Location

* If location permissions are allowed, the app automatically selects a KMA AWS station near your current location.

* Location information is used only while the app is in use for the purpose of finding stations.

* Location is not collected when the app is closed or not in use.

* Even if you deny location permissions, you can still use the app by manually selecting a region.

### 2. Direct Region Selection

* Press the Open Region button on the main screen to display the region selection window.

* You can directly select a Korea Meteorological Administration station in your desired region.

* If you change the region to Dokdo, Seoul, Jeju, etc., weather information for that station will be displayed.

### 3. Region Search

* You can search for station names in the region selection window.

* Entering only a few characters of the region name will display relevant stations.

Examples:

* Search for Jeju-do → Enter Jeju or Je

* Search for Seoul → Enter Seoul or Seo

### 4. Region Selection Window Features

The following features are available in the region selection window.

* Search: Search for regions containing the entered text

* Exit: Close the region selection window

* Reset: Reset the selected region and pinned state, returning to the current location

* Pin: Save the selected region to be displayed automatically upon app launch

* Confirm: Immediately load the weather for the selected region

### 5. Reconnection Function

* After selecting a region, pressing the Reconnect button reloads the data for the currently selected region.

* It does not automatically return to the user's current location upon reconnection.

* Pressing Reset in the region selection window resumes operation based on the current location.

### 6. Weather Information Display on a Single Screen

You can view the following information on a single screen:

* Barometric Pressure (hPa)

* Precipitation Status

* Current Temperature

* Wind Direction

* Wind Speed

* Humidity

* Current Weather Phenomenon

* Selected Observation Station and Region

### 7. Checking Precipitation Status

* It primarily uses the RE value from the Korea Meteorological Administration AWS data to determine if it is currently raining. * If RE is a normal value, the presence of precipitation is displayed according to the existing method.

* If RE is a negative error value such as -99.9, the RN-15m value is checked instead.

* If RN-15m is greater than 0.0, it is displayed as Rain; if it is 0.0, it is displayed as No Rain.

### 8. Current Weather (WW1) Display

* Current weather refers to the weather phenomenon currently being observed.

* The current weather code and description are displayed together on the screen.

Examples:

* Clear
* Haze
* Mist
* Fog
* Rain
* Drizzle
* Snow

If the observation station does not provide current weather information or there is no response, it may be displayed as No Current Weather Information.

### 9. Wind Direction UI

* Pressing the Wind Direction UI button displays the wind vane screen.

* You can check the wind direction displayed as numbers more intuitively.

### 10. Image Saving and Sharing

* You can save the current app screen as a PNG image.

* Saved images can be transferred to other apps using the sharing function.

* The sharing function uses Android FileProvider.

### 11. App Internal Diagnostic Logs

* You can check the history of the app's internal operations via the Log button.

* You can check selected stations, weather data request results, error status, etc.

* Diagnostic logs are not automatically sent to the developer.

* They are only transmitted externally if the user manually copies them or executes the sharing function.

## Permission Guide

### Location Permission — Optional

* Used to find weather stations near your current location.

* Location is checked only while the app is in use.

* Background location permissions are not used.

* You can use the app by manually selecting a region even if you do not allow location permissions.

### Internet Usage

* Uses an internet connection to retrieve weather data from the Korea Meteorological Administration APIHub.

### Notification Permission — Optional permission for Android 13 and above

* May be used to display notifications when barometric pressure or weather alerts are enabled.

* Background notifications use stored station numbers and do not look up location in the background.

### Storage Permission — Some devices for Android 9 and below

* May be used to save the current screen as an image.

* Newer Android versions use the system storage method.

## Privacy and Location Information

* Location information is used solely for the purpose of finding nearby stations.

* Location is not tracked or collected in the background.

* The user's exact location is not used for advertising or marketing purposes.

* The app does not contain advertisements, sign-ups, or user analytics features.

* Selected stations and some app settings may be stored on the device.
