KPSSK Staff Mobile App is the official staff application for authorised personnel of Konsortium Pusat Sumber Sekolah Kebangsaan (KPSSK) and participating school resource centres.

The app enables authorised library staff to manage essential library operations securely from a mobile device. It is designed to support faster circulation services, easier patron verification and more efficient daily library workflows.

• Secure Staff Login
Sign in using an authorised KPSSK staff account created and managed by KPSSK or the participating school resource centre.

• Patron Search
Search for registered patrons using their name, patron ID, library card number or barcode.

• Patron Account Information
View authorised patron information, including account status, current loans, due dates, overdue items, holds, fines and alerts.

• Item Search
Search the KPSSK library catalogue by title, author, keyword, ISBN, call number or item barcode.

• Item Details
View bibliographic and holdings information, including title, author, call number, barcode, shelving location, owning library, availability and circulation status.

• Check-Out
Issue eligible library materials to registered patrons by scanning or entering the patron and item barcodes.

• Check-In
Return library materials and update their circulation status in the KPSSK Library Management System.

• In-House Use
Record materials used within the library without checking them out to a patron account.

• Barcode and QR-Code Scanner
Use the device camera to scan supported patron cards, item barcodes and QR codes.

• Hold Shelf List
View items that are ready for collection and currently placed on the hold shelf.

• Holds Pull List
Identify requested items that need to be retrieved from library shelves.

• Circulation Status
Review transaction results, item status, due dates and relevant circulation alerts.

• Mobile Library Operations
Perform authorised library tasks directly from a supported mobile device while connected to the internet.

WHO CAN USE THIS APP?

KPSSK Staff Mobile App is intended only for authorised users, including:

• Library and Media Teachers
• School Resource Centre staff
• System Librarians
• Library administrators
• Authorised teachers
• KPSSK officers
• Other approved personnel

A valid KPSSK staff account and appropriate library permissions are required.

SECURITY AND PRIVACY

The app communicates with the KPSSK server to authenticate authorised staff and retrieve the information required to perform library operations.

Access to patron and circulation information is controlled according to each staff member’s assigned role and permissions.

Staff users must:

• Keep their login credentials confidential
• Use only their assigned staff account
• Access patron records only for authorised library duties
• Protect their mobile device from unauthorised access
• Log out when using a shared device
• Report any suspected account misuse or security incident

KPSSK does not sell patron or staff information.

• Internet access is required.
• Staff accounts cannot be created inside the app.
• Accounts are created and managed by KPSSK or authorised school administrators.
• Features depend on the staff member’s assigned permissions.

• Library records are synchronised with the KPSSK Library Management System.
