SafeRoam Anti-Theft Alarm

SafeRoam is a lightweight anti-theft alarm for your Android phone, designed for everyday situations where you want extra peace of mind.

Use it when you are charging your phone in a café, working in a public space, waiting at an airport, studying at a library, staying in a hostel, sitting on a train or bus, or leaving your device nearby for a moment.

SafeRoam lets you arm your phone with a local guard mode. If the guard condition is triggered before you disarm it, the app sounds a loud alarm and alerts you immediately.

SafeRoam is built around a simple idea: your phone should not be easy to unplug, move, or take without you noticing.

Guard modes

Charging Guard
Protect your phone while it is plugged in. If the charger is disconnected before you disarm SafeRoam, the alarm triggers.

Motion Guard
Place your phone where it should stay. SafeRoam calibrates the phone’s resting position and watches for movement. If the phone is picked up, tilted, or moved unexpectedly, the alarm can trigger.

Table Guard
Designed for cafés, desks, libraries, airports, shared workspaces, counters, and tray tables. Table Guard is tuned for flat surfaces and helps protect your phone when it is resting nearby.

Scenario presets

Choose a preset based on where you are, and SafeRoam will suggest the right guard setup:

Each preset adjusts the guard mode, alarm delay, and motion sensitivity for that situation. You can still customize the settings before arming.

Alarm and disarm

SafeRoam includes:

• Full-screen alarm alert when needed

For motion-based guards, SafeRoam includes an owner-check window. If you pick up your own phone and unlock it in time, the alarm can be cancelled and the guard can re-arm once the phone is placed back down and still.

Background protection

SafeRoam can keep monitoring even when the app is closed.

With background monitoring enabled, SafeRoam can continue running through a native Android foreground service. When auto-arm is enabled, Charging Guard can start automatically when you plug in your phone.

This is useful when you want protection to become part of your normal charging habit.

Failed unlock monitoring

SafeRoam can also track failed phone unlock attempts when enabled.

This optional feature uses Android Device Admin permission. When active, SafeRoam can record failed PIN, pattern, or password attempts at the lock screen and show a local notification.

This feature is separate from guard sessions. It does not track your location and does not send data to a server.

Local history and charging insights

SafeRoam keeps a local history of recent guard events, including when a guard was armed, disarmed, or triggered.

While Charging Guard is active, SafeRoam can also show useful charging information such as battery level, estimated time to full, and charging speed.
