Messina Smartpole shows real-time bus arrivals for every public transport stop in Messina, Italy - even when the physical QR code on the pole is damaged or missing. No more waiting at the stop not knowing when the next bus arrives. Open the app, see your buses, get on with your day.

REAL-TIME ARRIVALS
See the next buses arriving at any stop in Messina, with live tracking and scheduled times in one clear list. Every arrival is colour-coded - green means live and tracked in real time, blue means on schedule, red means running late. The list refreshes automatically every 30 seconds. Pull down at any time to force an immediate refresh. A countdown timer shows exactly how many minutes until each bus arrives.

FAVOURITE STOPS
Star any stop to save it to your Favourites tab. Your saved stops are always one tap away - open the app, switch to Favourites, and see live arrivals for all your usual stops at once without searching or waiting for GPS. Favourites persist across restarts and work even without location permission. Perfect for your daily commute stops near home, work, or anywhere else you catch the bus.

NEARBY STOPS
Open the app and it immediately detects your GPS location and finds all bus stops within 500 metres of you, sorted by distance. You can see how far each stop is, which buses serve it, and when the next arrivals are - all without typing a word. If no stops are found within the default radius, the app shows the single nearest stop so you are never left with an empty screen. The search radius can be adjusted in Settings, from 100 to 500 metres.

SEARCH ANY STOP
Use the Search tab to find any of the 1,400 plus bus stops in Messina by name or street. Results appear instantly as you type, with both the stop name and full street address shown for each result. Tap any result to see live arrivals immediately, or tap the star to save it to your Favourites. Search works fully even without location permission - you always have a way to find your bus.

MAP VIEW
See your nearby stops on a fully interactive map powered by OpenStreetMap. Pinch to zoom, drag to pan, and rotate freely. Tap any stop marker to jump straight to its live arrivals screen. Your current position is shown as a blue dot that updates in real time as you move. The map is available from both the home screen and from individual stop pages.

OFFLINE TIMETABLE
A complete GTFS timetable for the entire Messina bus network is bundled inside the app. Even when the ATM Messina live server is unavailable, your connection is poor, or you have no signal, you can still see the full scheduled timetable for any stop. Live arrivals and offline scheduled times are merged automatically so you always see the most complete and accurate picture possible.

CUSTOMISABLE SETTINGS
Adjust the nearby search radius from 100 to 500 metres. Set the maximum number of stops shown on the home screen between 1 and 4. Control how frequently arrivals auto-refresh, from every 10 seconds up to every 2 minutes. All settings are saved instantly and persist across app restarts.

DARK AND LIGHT MODE
Full dark mode and light mode support with a smooth animated transition between them. Follows your system preference automatically, or override it manually in Settings at any time.
ITALIAN AND ENGLISH The entire app is fully translated into both Italian and English. The language follows your device setting automatically. You can also change it manually through the Language option in Settings.
