Our founder, Renzo Rino Disperati, came to Istanbul in 1948 with the invitation of the Republic of Turkey. Under the instructions of Atatürk, he began to implement the Italian gardening tradition, which dates back to the Renaissance, in Turkey at the Büyükdere Nursery, the first gardening school in Turkey. Renzo Rino Disperati taught gardener candidates all over the country how to grow ornamental plants that would meet the needs of the young Republic that was building its cities. He laid the foundations of Gardenia and the Turkish landscape industry with the gardens he established in Büyükada in 1953 and in Yalova in 1960. Gardenia, under the leadership of Riccardo Disperati, who took over the flag from his father and is continued by the 3rd generation today; It always continues to be the pioneer and school of the sector with its vast knowledge, rich culture, business discipline, ethical values, creative identity, and up-to-date and powerful technology.
