Review summary

Reviews are mixed but often positive about Everhex’s fun tower-defense gameplay, progression, and comparatively player-friendly monetization. Active updates also earn praise. Common concerns include intrusive ads for some players, UI clutter or screen-layout issues, and a lack of clear explanations. Some reviewers also consider the game unoriginal or dislike its AI art. Experiences with ads vary, with other players saying they do not disrupt gameplay.

Pros

  • Many players find it fun, relaxing, and enjoyable, especially as a tower-defense or incremental game.
  • Several reviewers praise its progression and upgrades, describing it as less grindy and more respectful of players’ time than similar games.
  • Players appreciate that paid currency can be earned through gameplay and that the game feels less pay-to-win than some alternatives.
  • Some reviewers praise frequent updates and responsive developers, including fixes for reported bugs.

Cons

  • Ads are divisive: some players report forced or obstructive ads, while others say ads rarely interrupt gameplay.
  • Multiple reviews report UI problems, including cluttered or tiny text and elements extending beyond the screen or becoming inaccessible.
  • Some players find the game’s mechanics and upgrade systems difficult to understand, and want clearer explanations or a tutorial.
  • Several reviewers criticize the game as derivative of other tower or incremental games, and some object to its AI-generated art.

the game is fun, but after i get the coins when i open the game. i loose them after i dont use them. ALL OF THEM even if i buy something and i still have some coins, after one game i lose the item and the coins. this is ridiculous not to mention when i tried to enter your discord i couldn't even pass your rules page because the agreement button wont light up. fix it, both the issues.

I have only played one round so far. The game is so new there really aren't any videos or chat threads about it yet. I'm hesitant to do much because I don't really understand parts of the game. It's the first game of its sort to be different enough from the tower idle game to consider playing. Rather than needing to start over I think I'm just going to go slow until there's a community. I'm not much on figuring stuff like this out on my own.

Completely made by AI and copies most aspects and details from the game 'The Tower', I believe this is AI slop.

I think there wasn't enough adverts. The gameplay could be brighter, but I really love seeing more adverts, please make some compulsory ads, make them longer, and there needs to be bigger and brighter death animations. Compulsory adverts every 2 minutes would be peak.

Every time I try one of these 'incremental' games, I'm hoping to see what the appeal is. Time and time again, I'm disappointed. Maybe this genre isn't for me. This one at least feels less grindy from the outset and doesn't do as much to kneecap your progress before you get into it, but at the end of the day it does feel like it'll offer the same little-to-no interactivity, grinding for passive upgrades so you can watch the game play itself for longer than the last time.

couldn't play cause of obstructive adds. uninstalled

brother, i just installed the app, and you put a pop-up asking me to rate it? there you go, I haven't seen enough to warrant anything more than 1*

genuinely a enjoyible tower defense game. underrated fr. you don't get any ads forced down your throat at all, whitch makes it relaxing and stuff. try it out.

I really love this game, crashes are minimal and it runs smoothly. I wish there was a tutorial or long press to explain things, such as gems. its hard to know how theyre earned, just that they are. if the confusion is fixed then id be happy to give it a 5.
