Kirchenland MV App

There are a large number of churches and chapels in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania.

With this app you can view more than a thousand of these mostly magnificent buildings before your visit. The map display shows the buildings in their surroundings.

With the help of the integrated interface to the navigation software you have installed, you can easily find your way to the churches and chapels.

System requirements:
Android version 8.0 or higher (requires approximately 73.3 MB memory)

List display with search function
The buildings are shown in a list with a mini-image. You can enter a location in the search field.

Search function for places
The search function limits the number of place names.

Map display of the selection

The buildings selected in the search function are shown on the map as a pin. A pin can be selected. The scroll in the lower area shows the selected buildings as an overview. The user can access the area search using the buttons at the top left. The right buttons switch on the automatic display of the closest structure to your own location and the automatic updating of the map section.

Radius search

The radius search shows the buildings in the vicinity of the current location.

By activating the pin (top right) the closest structure to the current location is automatically selected.

Information about a building

By selecting a building in the list or map display, the user accesses the details of the selected building. The lower area symbolizes the information available about a building. Floor plans are not available for all buildings. The "Visits" symbol on the right edge also shows the number of visits documented by the user.

In the upper part you can scroll through the thumbnails of the images. The user can enlarge this display with a tap of the finger.

Geo-information about a building

The geographical data contains the GPS position and the address for navigation. If navigation software is found, it can be started. Apple's own Maps application is supported, as is Navigon, which can be installed optionally.

Pictures

The user navigates the image display using the gestures typical of the iPhone - sliding, enlarging and switching. Pictures taken during our own visits are also included in the presentation.

Save your own images

Recordings you create can be sent as an email and shared on social media.

Layout

Floor plans are available for the majority of the buildings. The view can be enlarged and moved using typical iPhone gestures.

Map display

The map display shows the selected structure. The typical iPhone map displays can be selected.

Visits

The user can document every visit to the churches. Images taken are also visible in the image display with the visit time and can be sent individually or collectively as an email or shared on social media.
