This App aims to reconnect the Indian youth with their rich
culinary heritage by providing an innovative platform that facilitates easy access to information about
traditional Indian food dishes. The primary objective of this project is to develop an Android
application that enables users to recognize food dishes through image scanning and showcase
detailed information, including historical context, nutritional values, and recipes. To achieve the
project's objective, the development process will be divided into three key phases. In the first phase
advanced MLKit and Cloud ML resources will be utilized for accurate and efficient food dish
recognition. Cutting edge tools like LangChain and GPT for comprehensive details about food dishes
will be used. The second phase focuses on designing an intuitive user interface (UI) with three
primary screens: Home, Camera View, and Food Details. The app will enable users to scan dishes
through the camera and extract text for further processing. In the third phase, a robust database
management system will be implemented to store comprehensive food item details, encompassing
historical backgrounds, origins, recipes, and nutritional values.
