### How it works

1. Grant notification access — NotiFynd uses Android's NotificationListenerService to read and store notifications locally on your device.
2. Notifications are captured automatically — Everything is saved the moment it arrives, from any app.
3. Browse your history — All notifications are grouped by app in a clean chat-style layout with tabs for All, Dismissed, Pinned, and more.

📋 OTP codes from notifications
OTP codes are automatically detected in notification content and shown in a dedicated tab for quick one-tap copy. On Android 14+ where the system redacts notification content, you can optionally grant SMS access to recover OTP codes from SMS messages.

### Permissions used

- Notification Access (required): Reads notifications so you can browse, search, and recover them later. This is the core permission the app needs to function.
- SMS (optional): On Android 14+, the system hides OTP content from notification listeners. Granting SMS access allows the app to extract OTP codes from SMS messages. The app works fully without this permission — it only enhances OTP detection.
- Internet: Required for ads (AdMob) and optional crash reporting (Firebase).

### What NotiFynd does NOT do

- ❌ Does NOT monitor financial transactions or detect fraud
- ❌ Does NOT process 5-digit SMS messages for financial services
- ❌ Does NOT share any notification or SMS data with any server
- ❌ Does NOT read your contacts, location, media files, or call logs
