RePlay is a hands-free practice tool that streamlines repetitive drills for language learning and musical instrument practice. You can change the playback speed without affecting the pitch.

[How it works: record → playback → record → playback …]
RePlay starts recording the moment it detects sound, stops when you fall silent, and plays your take back right away. When playback ends it returns to standby, and the next sound you make starts the cycle over again. Just flip the loop switch in the center of the screen and start talking or playing — there is no record button to press over and over.
A pre-roll buffer captures roughly 2 seconds before the trigger, so the start of a phrase or sentence is rarely clipped and you can check your attack and pronunciation with confidence. Alongside sensitivity settings — start level, stop level, and stop-detection span — Noise Reduction (Low / Med / High) lets you adapt the app to your environment. Playback speed is adjustable from 0.5x to 3.0x, slowing down or speeding up while keeping the original pitch. Each recording runs up to 10 minutes (5 minutes by default; adjustable in Settings). When the limit is reached, the loop stops automatically and the reason is shown on screen — tap "Resume" to get straight back to practicing.

[Recordings do not accumulate on your device]
Audio is temporarily stored only in the app's private storage area on the device, and each new recording overwrites the previous one. Only the most recent clip is kept at any time — past recordings never pile up as files on your device. Audio captured by the microphone is never transmitted to any external server. Uninstalling the app deletes all data, including recordings and settings.

[Background operation]
The recording loop can continue in the background. While the loop is ON, the app runs as a foreground service and stays in the notification bar, so you can keep practicing hands-free even with the screen off. The service automatically shuts down when you turn the loop OFF, or when it auto-stops after a period of silence — helping conserve battery. After an auto-stop, just tap the "Resume" button in the center of the screen to pick up where you left off.
