PocketLM: Local LLM & AI Chat

Your AI, on your phone. Not in someone else's cloud.

PocketLM runs open language models directly on your Android device. Replies are generated on the phone itself and never leave it — no account, no chat history on a server, and it keeps working in airplane mode.

WHAT YOU GET

• On-device inference — every reply is generated locally, offline, on your own hardware
• Two model formats — LiteRT-LM (Google's on-device runtime) and GGUF, so you are not tied to one ecosystem
• Model families — Qwen3, Qwen2.5, Gemma4, Gemma3, LFM2.5, SmolLM3, with more added over time
• Vision models — send a photo and ask about it, understood entirely on-device
• Visible reasoning — models that support it show their full thought process, not just the answer
• Full sampling control — temperature, top-p, top-k, max tokens, and a per-chat system prompt
• Reusable prompt templates — save a system prompt once and apply it to any chat
• Two download sources — Hugging Face, or ModelScope for users in mainland China
• Resumable downloads — an interrupted model download continues instead of starting over

WHAT YOUR PHONE NEEDS

This is real on-device inference, not a cloud wrapper. Compact models around 0.5–1B parameters run on most recent phones; 3B-class models want 8GB+ RAM and a recent chipset. Start with a small model and move up once you see how your device handles it.

PRIVACY

Your conversations and your models stay on the device. The network is used for two things only: downloading the model files you choose, and processing a purchase if you buy a membership. There is no account and no chat sync.

MEMBERSHIP

The free version keeps one downloaded model. Annual and lifetime memberships unlock all models and member features. The annual membership renews through Google Play and can be managed or canceled in your Google Play subscription settings.
