Kantapranth App

Kantha province holds a glorious history in itself. Geographically, this region.

Features & Capabilities

There are some interesting facts behind the name of this region, which is spread from Beawar region in the north to Godwad in the south and Mewar in the east and extends to Rohat in the west, being called Kantha province. It is said that in this region, the trees of Desi Babul (Desi Babaliya) were found in abundance. Due to which the thorns of acacia were scattered everywhere in this region. Due to this reason, this region gradually came to be known as 'Province of Thorns' i.e. 'Kantha province'. According to some legends, just as the region situated on the banks of Sabarmati river is called 'Sabarkantha' and the area situated on the banks of Banas river is called 'Banaskantha', this region was named 'Kantha' due to being situated on both the banks of Sukdi river flowing right in the middle of Kantha province.

Despite being adjacent to the Thar Desert, this area is green and fertile and is also rich from social and cultural point of view.

Shri Kantha Province Oswal Sajna Sangh includes these 52 villages.

Establishment of Kantha Province:

In order to strengthen the organization, a Singh Sabha (Shri Kantha Province Oswal Sajna Sangh) of these 52 villages was formed with the good inspiration, guidance and blessings of revered Gurudev 1008 Shri Marudhar Kesari Shri Mishrimalji M.S. about 87 years ago in Samvat 1995 (1938) in Sichana village, located 4 kilometers away from Ranawas station.

In which the Dasa Oswal (Chhote Sajna or Lode Sajna) families of the following 52 villages were organised as one unit:

With the establishment of this organisation, some rules and regulations were laid down for its smooth functioning and unity.

The second session of Singh Sabha was held in Ranawas in Samvat 1997 (1940). After 28 years, the third session was held in Ranawas on Ashwin Krishna Amavas in Samvat 2026 (1968), the fourth session was held in Busi on Ashwin Krishna Amavas in Samvat 2027 (1969), the fifth session was held in Siriyari on Falgun Shukla 11 in Samvat 2028 (1970), the sixth session was held in Somesar on Margashirsha Shukla 5 in Samvat 2030 (1972) and the seventh session was held again in Siriyari in Samvat 2033 (1975).

Earlier, almost all the families of this social organization used to live in Kantha, but later, most of the member families of Kantha province settled in states like Gujarat, Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu etc. for their business and profession. Due to which the residents of this region got scattered in different corners of India and the world. Due to geographical distance and the resulting lack of regular contact, as well as the circumstances of time and place, some laxities started being experienced in the society.

Hope and aspirations were given new momentum. On the auspicious occasion of Akshay Tritiya in Samvat 2052 (1994) in Ranawas, a comprehensive social reform program was planned under the guidance of the most revered promoter Shri Rupmuniji M.S. Rajat. As a result of this, as per his inspiration and blessings, the eighth session of Shri Singh Sabha was held after 19 years on Kartik Shukla 5 in Samvat 2052 (1994) in Sikandrabad. In which the seeds of reorganization of the association were sown and initially some rules and regulations were made. Which were welcomed everywhere and the sacred feeling of heartfelt compliance of the passed rules and regulations was also reflected everywhere in the society. In 2002, for the first time under the aegis of kantha. org
