What's the point of making an app that can NOT connect with the speaker ?

app prompts user to update firmware on EON 610 speakers. Then the app doesn't see or recognize the speakers, Even after a full factory reset of the speakers. The app is not user friendly, does not have a lot of practical features when it did work. JBL really needs to go back to the drawing board on this one, this app is terrible. This is from a lifelong JBL user with at least 15 JBL products (high end home & pro level) in use going back to 1970

so stupid in both concept and execution. app doesn't work, why can't I just connect to my speaker stupid business people making good things bad to try and steal data. give me the money I spent on this speaker back
