Scroll the Bible & Swipe: Sown

Scroll the Bible the way you scroll your feed. Sown shows one verse at a time, full screen, over a painted scene. Swipe up for the next. Tap any verse, and a short card tells you what it means in plain words.

Free, with no sign-up and no ads. Open the app, and you're already reading.

HOW IT WORKS
• Swipe: a Bible scroll of verses that make sense on their own. For You learns from what you like and save.
• Tap: a ten-second card explains the verse, says who is speaking and when, and suggests related verses to read next.
• Keep: like, save and share any verse as a beautiful image.

A BIBLE VERSE WIDGET FOR YOUR HOME SCREEN
Add the free Sown widget and a daily Bible verse waits on your home screen, over one of Sown's paintings. Tap it to keep reading. With Premium, the widget follows your own feed and shows another verse with one tap.

A CHRISTIAN SCROLLING APP THAT FILLS YOU UP
Stop doomscrolling without giving up your phone. When you reach for a feed, reach for this one. Read straight through any book of the Bible, picking up exactly where you stopped, or search the way you type: "rom 8 28", "psalm 23", "love one another".

THE BIBLE, EXPLAINED SIMPLY
Every explanation is written ahead of time and checked, so it opens instantly. Where Christians read a verse differently, the card says so. Have a question? Ask about any verse and get an answer that cites the passages it draws on (3 free questions a week). Answers are AI-generated, so read the passages they cite.

YOUR BIBLE, YOUR LANGUAGE
Scroll the Bible in modern English (World English Bible) or the King James Version (KJV) where available, or in Tagalog, Portuguese, Spanish, French, German, Swahili, Hindi, Tamil and more: 26 editions in all. English explanations work offline; other languages download once and stay on your phone.

SCROLL FOR WHAT YOU'RE GOING THROUGH
Anxious about money? Can't sleep? Grieving, or worried about your marriage? With Premium, choose from 40 topics or type your own, and get an endless feed of verses for exactly that. Premium also puts your own feed in the home screen widget, adds gentle memory practice and gives you more room to ask questions.

FREE, AND STAYS FREE
The whole Bible, every explanation, the daily verse widget, saved verses and sharing are free, and the Bible works offline. Premium is optional, monthly or yearly, with a free week on the yearly plan if you're eligible.

Open Sown and read your first verse in seconds.
