For specific study, revision, writing etc. of any subject, it is necessary to take the basis of other texts/information sources. We call this 'taking reference'. We call such useful texts reference books or reference sources.
Sometimes it happens that we are unaware of which text book we will get the reference of the subject we need. To solve this problem, a program called JAIN REFERENCE LIBRARY has been created.

This program has been created on the concept of 'Targeted Linking with Targeted books only'.

• Targeted Linking - This program is linked with the PDF of the texts, these texts have not been OCRed. What happens in OCR is that the word we search for, all the places where that word occurs in the text, are obtained as a result. In some of these places, there is special information about that word, but in most of the places, that word is only mentioned, there is no special information about it.
Here, wherever there is special information about a subject in each text, we have linked that subject there. So that the seeker can get the necessary information easily.

• Targeted books - There is no plan to link all the books in this program. Here only two types of texts will be linked -
1. Ancient texts. In which description of many subjects is found and which are used repeatedly as reference.
2. Reference books of modern languages (Gujarati, Hindi, English). Such as - dictionary, technical dictionary, encyclopedia, history books, lists, research essays, research journals etc.

Targeted linking and Targeted books, these two are the limits of this program and this is also its specialty.

JRL has 4 different types of facilities for searching the required reference -
1. Keyword - For getting specific information by any word.
2. Shlok No. - For doing comparative study of various commentaries, translations, explanations of any specific shloka/gatha of any text simultaneously.
3. Index - For easy use of various indexes.
4. Year - For knowing the events and history of a specific year. Any curious person can take advantage of this program through JRL's website or Android App.
