User Reviews

Text Candy is praised for its easy-to-use interface, extensive fonts, and broad design options for adding text to photos. However, multiple reviews highlight reliability concerns—texts and designs can fail to save, and the app can crash after updates. Some users also note missing features such as stickers/emojis and difficulties starting new designs, pointing to UX gaps alongside strong editing capabilities.

Pros

Easy to use / intuitive UI
Wide variety of fonts and fun typography
Rich design options: backgrounds, colors, styles, and alignment
Clear, capable text editing on photos
Positive overall experience and frequent use

Cons

Reliability issues: saving/persistence problems (text and designs not reliably saved when reopening)
Stability problems: crashes after updates or during use
Feature gaps: missing stickers/emojis and UX limitations like difficulty starting a new design

09/07/2025, 12:07 AM. I used Text Candy for 5 years and liked it; and have now discovered it has a different owner. Someone went through all of my photos on my cloud server, stole specific photos, and placed them into Text Candy, without my consent or knowledge. I am now having to delete Text Candy to prevent photos from being stolen out of my cloud account, without my consent.
