With 60 years of experience, the Irish School of Landscape Painting has developed a 4 stage system for teaching talented students to "Become an Artist" and Advanced Artists to learn more. We offer professional standard tuition, helping all artists feel good about their paintings.

This app has Free Outdoor Livestreams, En Plein Air, as well as our in-Studio and garden painting Courses Library. This Library is video recordings of previous Livestream Painting Classes, which contains over 100 hours of painting lessons revealing the life and techniques of Masters like Turner, Monet, Pissarro, Renoir, Cézanne, Van Gogh, Vlaminck, Matisse, Gauguin and growing weekly. Courses include Snow Paintings, Seascapes, Riverscapes, and Cottage Painting.

Weekly Live Streams include a Live Chat allowing you to ask Susan questions. Our tutor Susan Webb is an accomplished Professional Artist and shares everything, from the brushes she is using, to her mixture of colours and how best to use them. She demonstrates Oil Painting, Acrylic Painting, Watercolor Painting and Pastel Drawing.

As Susan paints, she discusses the life and struggles of the featured artist and the wider impact they made on the World of Art. While painting in the manner of the artist she shows how today we can use this knowledge to benefit our own painting. She has a wide grasp of Art History and can weave this into a lyrical story. It is rare to find someone that can absorb and relate many historical facts, interweaving them into a fascinating story that even the non-painter will enjoy at the same time creating a unique work of art. The drama of the painting unfolds before your eyes as you begin to assimilate the era of the chosen artist, experiencing the painting through their eyes.

The Painting Class is encouraged to engage as Susan paints, asking questions or further illuminating the technique used. This method of teaching is uniquely successful as the camera zooms in to show the exact pressure and movement of the brushes in larger than life-size. Susan will clearly describe as she shows, the amount of pressure, twist or flick that is required to give each effect. She will focus on Drawing in one lesson and Composition in another. These Art Classes are both for beginners and the more experienced, but the level of training is like having a Professional by your side teaching you all her secrets.

You can just "sip and paint" and listen to the nice story of the days of the Impressionists or Expressionists, or you can choose to paint along. These Online Painting Classes are not just to be pleased with your result but if you work hard, others will admire your paintings too.
