Surah Nas

Surah Nas, the 114th chapter of the Holy Quran, comprises 6 ayaat and was revealed in Madinah. Alongside Surah al-Falaq, it is known as Ma’udhatayn, a means of seeking refuge from evil forces. According to Imam Ja’far as-Sadiq (a.s.), nightly recitation of this Surah ensures protection from Jinnaat and the evil designs of Shaitan. It is also traditionally used as a talisman to safeguard children and relieve pain when recited on affected body parts.
