Turn your home screen into a living map of Heroes of Might and Magic II.

fheroes2 Live Wallpaper renders classic HoMM2 maps using the open-source fheroes2 engine — with animated water, flags and objects, just like in the game. The wallpaper periodically pans to a new part of the map and loads another map on a schedule you choose, so there is always something new to look at.

GAME FILES
The wallpaper needs the original Heroes of Might and Magic II data files. If you own the game, import the GOG installer or a ZIP with the game folders directly in the app. If you don't, the app can fetch the free official demo — it works too.

FAQ

Q: Why can't I set it on the lock screen?
A: It's a limitation of your phone, not the app. This mostly happens on Xiaomi (MIUI) and Samsung devices.

Q: Why can't I set it at all?
A: Some phones don't allow live wallpapers at all. Unfortunately, nothing can be done about it.

Q: Will it drain my battery?
A: No. The wallpaper only renders while it is visible and pauses the rest of the time, so it uses just a few minutes of battery per day.

Q: Can I add my own maps?
A: Yes! Open the map file manager in the app settings.
