Features & Capabilities

Omnimatrix brings a nostalgic Omnimatrix simulator to your Wear OS smartwatch. Relive childhood transformations with tap, press-and-hold, double-tap recharge, or by rotating your watch’s physical wheel. Use swipe or wheel gestures to change aliens, enter Active mode, and perform iconic sequences (Prototype, Recalibrated, Completed) as well as special modes like Randomizer and Self-Destruct.

Master Control lets you customize audio, vibration, Always-On Display (AOD), clock format and position, wheel sensitivity, timers for in-use and recharge, smooth animation per Omnimatrix, and individual themes. This fan-made app emphasizes gesture-driven interactions, a playlist editor, and precise sequence input for an authentic smartwatch experience. Users praise Omnimatrix for nostalgia, fun gameplay, varied Omnitrix modes, and solid wearables support, especially on Galaxy Watches. Overall sentiment is highly positive. However, recurring issues include bugs and stability problems, cross-device compatibility challenges, missing in-app instructions, promotional asset mismatches, and some UI/UX limitations. Addressing these areas could improve consistency and usability across devices.

  • Positive wearables compatibility, especially strong on Galaxy Watch series
  • Good overall satisfaction and positive sentiment across reviews
Cons
  • Bugs and stability issues requiring fixes
  • Wearable/device compatibility problems across models (e.g., Galaxy Watch 8, Pixel Watch 3)
  • Lack of in-app instructions and unclear mode-switching UI
  • Asset/promotional images not matching what's in the app (promotional mismatch)
  • UI/UX limitations, such as difficulty changing styles or accessing features

It was fun but I had no idea what I was doing

Almost there there for me... just needs that ultimatrix version. EDIT: I didn't realize it had a double-tap for ultimate form feature. But also, I have one more request. Shouldn't we be able to record our own voice for the self destruct sequence voice? EDIT 2: Also, an alternative clock mode would be great... like shrink the normal watch size down by a sliver, to allow room for radial rectangular "dashes" that represent the hour and minute hand, that could go around the watch.
