MINT handy, that's the motto of the intoMINT app. The app offers you a colorful variety of exciting activities in the fields of mathematics, computer science, science and technology (for these subjects is MINT) and all in a DIY manner. Almost every activity succeeds with our super explained picture tutorials. And best of all, you learn a lot of cool stuff and you can also win great real prizes.

This app is intended to appeal to girls and young women from the age of 13, to inspire you for MINT topics. With illustrated and easily explained experiments, MINT is easy to experience and understand. The knowledge section provides you with crisp and exciting information and the following quiz ensures good conversation. And if the activity is really fun for you, we'll show you a job suitable for it. Maybe your future dream job?

Extract DNA? Plastic from milk? - Great, exciting Do-it-Yourself activities to try at home waiting for you in this app! Most of the required materials can be found in every household or can be found in every supermarket for little money, so that many of the MINT projects can also be carried out spontaneously. This app is a perfect remedy for boredom and ensures 100% fun and some AHAs!

Collect points and win:
Document your experiment and upload the pictures. So you can earn points and have the opportunity to earn virtual prizes or real profits. More ways to earn points, you'll learn in the tutorial of the app.

Why the intoMINT App?
The MINT professions in our working world are characterized by a shortage of skilled workers. Women are scarcely represented here. We want to change that. We show you that MINT is fun and not witchcraft. In addition to all sorts of interesting facts about STEM activities, we will introduce you to a profession and show how diverse and exciting MINT professions can be. Maybe you can also imagine working as an engineer, scientist or game designer? Our intoMINT App is intended to provide better orientation in the MINT occupational fields and to assist in the decision for a MINT study / training.

Who is the intoMint app for?
This app is intended to playfully motivate girls from the age of 13 to engage with MINT topics. The activities are suitable for girls from grade 8 onwards and also offer great ideas for teachers to make the school lessons practical and understandable.

Who makes the app?
intoMINT is a project of HS Anhalt Köthen in conjunction with Otto-von-Guericke University Magdeburg and Merseburg University of Applied Sciences. The joint project "intoMINT 4.0: Awakening and expanding enthusiasm and commitment to MINT. Development of an app for vocational and study orientation for female students in the field of STEM "is funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) under the grant numbers 01FP1623 and 01FP1625.
