Routenomics: Fuel & EV Trips

Plan any US road trip with real fuel costs, CO₂ emissions, and the exact gas or EV charging stops along the way.

Routenomics turns your origin, destination, and vehicle into a real dollar figure — not a generic "30 MPG average" estimate. We pair EPA fuel-economy data (with city/highway split) with weekly U.S. Energy Information Administration regional retail fuel prices and the real station locations from NREL and OpenStreetMap, so the cost you see is the cost you'll pay at the pump or plug.


What you can do

• Plan a trip between any two US addresses. We show route alternatives and label them cheapest, fastest, and greenest, so you can pick what matters to you.

• See exactly where to stop. Refuel or recharge points are placed within your vehicle's safe range, with the station's brand, distance from start, and miles since the last stop.

• Compare two vehicles side-by-side. Same trip, different cars — see which one actually saves money and emits less CO₂ on the kind of driving you do.

• Browse a complete US vehicle database. Cars, trucks, SUVs, EVs, hybrids — every make/model/year from EPA's fueleconomy.gov, with full specs and EPA fuel economy.

• Save trips and favorite vehicles. Share any saved trip as a URL and open it on another device — no account needed.

• Adjust your starting tank level or state of charge. Half a tank? Empty? Stops re-plan instantly.

• Realistic EV road-trip pricing. Your starting charge is billed at the home rate, the rest at DC fast-charging rates — matching what a real road trip costs an EV driver.

What we don't do

• No accounts. No sign-ups. No tracking pixels. No third-party analytics SDKs. No advertising.
• Saved trips and favorite vehicles live in your device's local storage and are never uploaded.
• Location permission is only requested when you tap "Use current location" — your coordinates are sent once to look up the place name and never stored on our server.
