Simulador Parapente Brasil

The Paragliding Simulator Brazil puts you in the harness, in first person: your hands on the toggles and risers, the variometer on your lap, and the wing responding like a real wing. It was created by Walter Güntzel, a paragliding pilot, to support training in flight schools.

RAMPS WITH REALISTIC TERRAIN
Thirteen locations recreated with satellite terrain: Arraial d'Ajuda, Canoa Quebrada (from the top of the cliff and along the beach), Praia Mole, Lagoa da Conceição, Rio Vermelho, Praia do Santinho, Santo Amaro da Imperatriz, Itajaí, São Conrado, Governador Valadares, Iquique, and the dunes of Palo Buque.

STEP-BY-STEP TAKEOFF
Inverted or alpine: pull the A risers according to the wind direction, control the wing overhead, turn, and run. When takeoff fails, the reason appears on the screen.

LIFT AND THERMAL
Near the sea, the wind rises up the slope and supports the wing: the closer to the hill, the higher it rises, and behind the crest there is a rotor. On the mountain, one rises by spinning within the thermal, which drifts with the wind.

SCHOOL WITH 13 EXERCISES
Pendulum, coordinated turn, ears, asymmetric and frontal collapse, B-stall, spiral, full stall, negative, reserve, wingover, SAT and thermal entanglement. Each exercise has instructions, measurements and a score.

YOU ASSEMBLE THE DAY
Wind, direction, gusts, thermals, rotor and sky. Choose the glider, size and harness; your weight changes the wing speeds.

HOW IT WAS MADE
The wing is calculated as two half-wings with their own lift and drag; the glider is made of fabric and closes when it loses pressure; the air has gradient, lift, rotor and thermals. The numbers come from technical data sheets, certification reports, independent measurements, and the analysis of over one hundred flight videos. The in-app manual shows the formulas and indicates what is still an estimate.
