PETO-ID identifies your dog by its unique nose pattern and stores its records and vaccination history in one place.

No injections. No special readers. Nothing to lose.

DOG NOSE IDENTIFICATION

Every dog's nose has a unique pattern, like a fingerprint. You take a burst of photos of the nose with your phone's camera, and PETO-ID registers that pattern as your pet's ID.

Then, anyone with the app can photograph a dog's nose to compare it to registered pets.

It's done from home and takes just a couple of minutes.

Nose identification is under active development. Its accuracy depends on the photo quality and improves as the registry grows.

VACCINATION RECORD AND VETERINARY RECORD

Everything that's currently scattered on loose papers, organized in the app:

- Vaccinations, with the date of each booster
- Deworming and sterilization
- Surgeries, treatments, and medications
- Mobility and special care
- Your veterinarians' contact information, associated with each treatment
- Reminders so you don't miss any appointments

IF YOUR PET GETS LOST

- Report the loss through the app
- Your dog appears on the public list of lost pets
- Anyone can report seeing your pet, and you'll receive an alert
- Download an alert poster to print and share
- The QR code on the collar always works, whether or not you have an active subscription

WHAT PETO-ID DOESN'T DO

We prefer to clarify this here:

PETO-ID does not track your dog. It does not use GPS and does not know its location at any time. It is used to identify your dog, not to track it.

It does not replace the microchip. It's complementary: a veterinarian reads the chip with a reader, while the nose is checked with a phone camera. If your dog already has a chip, don't remove anything.

It doesn't guarantee that a lost dog will be returned. It helps whoever finds it know who it is and who to notify.

It's not always accurate on the first try. Nose identification depends on the light, the angle, and the photo quality. It may not recognize a registered dog, or it may require several attempts. We're improving it with every pet that joins the system.

It's not a medical device. The file contains the information your veterinarian provides; it doesn't diagnose or replace a consultation.

And it only recognizes dogs that are already registered. If someone scans a dog that no one has registered, there won't be a match. That's why the registry grows with every pet that joins: the more dogs there are, the more useful it is for everyone.

YOUR DATA

Your pet's photos and information are stored encrypted and used
only to identify your pet and to display it if it is reported lost.

You can request that your account and data be deleted at any time.

PETO-ID is in open testing. We are building the registry with owners who
want to try it with their own dog.
