OEE Calculator – Small Description with Calculations

An OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) Calculator is used to measure how efficiently a machine or production line is performing. It evaluates performance based on cycle time, capacity, efficiency, production rate, and quality rate to determine overall productivity.

Basic OEE Calculation:

OEE = Availability × Performance × Quality

1. Cycle Time
The ideal time required to produce one unit.
Cycle Time = Production Time ÷ Total Units Produced

2. Capacity
Maximum number of units that can be produced in a given time.
Capacity = Available Production Time ÷ Ideal Cycle Time

3. Efficiency (Performance)
Shows how fast the machine is running compared to its ideal speed.
Efficiency = (Ideal Cycle Time × Total Units Produced) ÷ Operating Time

4. Production Rate
Actual output produced during the operating time.
Production Rate = Total Units Produced ÷ Operating Time

5. Quality Rate
Percentage of good products produced without defects.
Quality Rate = Good Units ÷ Total Units Produced
