DeepNote is a fast, private, offline note-taking app for Android. Text notes, to-do lists and voice memos in one place — with no account to create, no subscription, and no internet permission at all.

Your notes never leave your phone. DeepNote does not request the INTERNET permission, so there is no cloud sync, no analytics, no ads and no tracking. Not as a promise — as a technical fact you can check on this page under App permissions.

DeepNote schedules reminders as exact alarms, so they fire at the minute you set even when your phone is in Doze. Reminders survive a reboot. The date and time show on the note card, and anything overdue is highlighted so it does not quietly disappear down the list.

• Tag text notes, to-do lists and voice memos alike.
• Tag suggestions appear the moment you start adding one, ordered by how often you use each tag — so the same idea doesn't end up spelled three different ways.
• Tags show as pills on the note card, and a tap filters the whole list.
• Search covers titles, bodies and tags. Type tag:work for an exact tag match.
• Filter by note type, and sort by last edited, date created, or title A–Z or Z–A. DeepNote remembers your choice.

Most note apps are a front end for someone else's server. That buys you sync, and it costs you an account, a subscription, an outage, a privacy policy that changes, and a note-taking app that spins a loading indicator on the underground.

DeepNote is the other trade. Everything is stored in a local database on your device. Opening a note is instant because nothing is being fetched. There is nothing to log into and nothing to cancel.

The trade-off is honest: there is no sync between devices, and if you uninstall the app your notes go with it. Use the export option to keep a copy.
