DeepNote is a fast, private note-taking app for Android. Text notes, to-do lists and voice memos in one place — with no account to create, no subscription, and no internet permission at all.

Your notes never leave your phone. DeepNote does not request the INTERNET permission, so there is no cloud sync, no analytics, no ads and no tracking. Not as a promise — as a technical fact you can check on this page under App permissions.


★ THREE KINDS OF NOTE, ONE LIST

• Text notes — title, body, live word count, bullet lists, and undo/redo that steps back a word at a time instead of a letter.
• To-do lists — tick tasks off, completed ones drop to their own section, reorder with the up/down buttons or by dragging, and delete a task with one tap. A link in a task is tappable, so an article you saved is one tap away.
• Voice memos — record from the widget or the app, pause and resume mid-recording, play back with a seekable progress bar, and rename.


★ YOUR NOTES, BACKED UP — WITHOUT A CLOUD

Offline should not mean fragile. DeepNote writes a complete backup — every note, list and voice recording — into one file, wherever you choose to put it.

• Back up on demand, or automatically every day or week.
• Restoring asks how to apply the file: merge, which adds only what is missing and deletes nothing, or replace everything. Restoring the same file twice changes nothing.
• The file is yours — your drive folder, an SD card, anywhere. Nothing is uploaded.
• If an automatic backup fails, DeepNote tells you instead of failing quietly.


★ REMINDERS THAT ACTUALLY ARRIVE ON TIME

DeepNote schedules reminders as exact alarms, so they fire at the minute you set even when your phone is in Doze. Reminders survive a reboot. The time shows on the note card, and anything overdue is highlighted so it does not quietly disappear down the list.


★ TAGS AND SEARCH THAT SCALE

• Tag text notes, to-do lists and voice memos alike.
• Tag suggestions appear as soon as you start typing, ordered by how often you use each — so one idea doesn't end up spelled three ways.
• Tags show as pills on the note card, and a tap filters the whole list.
• Search covers titles, bodies and tags. Type tag:work for an exact tag match.
• Filter by note type, and sort by last edited, date created or title.


★ A DARK THEME THAT IS ACTUALLY DARK

Not the light theme dimmed — its own colour ramp, with deep ink backgrounds, cards that stay distinct from the page, and the accent blue lifted so it still reads. Follows your system setting, or pin it in Settings.


★ BUILT FOR THINGS YOU ACTUALLY DO

• Send text or a link from any app straight into a new note — DeepNote is in the Android share sheet.
• A home screen widget listing your recent notes, opening one on a tap, with a new text note or voice memo always one tap away.
• Pin the notes you keep coming back to — they stay on top under every sort order.
• A menu on every card: share, pin, set a reminder, add a tag, delete.
• Deleted a note by mistake? Undo it.
• Autosave survives the app being killed — nothing is lost if you swipe it away.
• Share any note to any app, or export every note as one formatted text document.
• Works on Android 7.0 and up.


★ WHY OFFLINE

Most note apps are a front end for someone else's server. That buys you sync, and costs you an account, a subscription, and a loading spinner on the underground. DeepNote is the other trade: everything sits in a local database, so opening a note is instant.

There is no sync between devices — that is the honest trade-off. Your notes live on this phone, so take a backup and keep it somewhere you trust. Moving to a new phone is a restore, not a migration.
